Each mantel is delivered in three pieces: two legs and one header. Assembly is straightforward, as the legs connect seamlessly to the header using nuts and bolts. To simplify installation, a mitered hanger board assembly is included, along with a three-piece mitered scribe molding set designed to conceal any gaps that may appear post-installation. This mantel boasts a 1 1/2" projection from the wall, creating a convenient recess behind it for tiling, stone, or marble finishes.

Here are some specific dimensions: the interior width measures 56", while the interior height reaches 42". The distance from the outside of one leg to the outside of the other at the base measures 73". The shelf length is a generous 78 5/8", with a depth of 8". The overall height is 57 1/4", and the mantel weighs 93 pounds. Look for the authentic Pearl inlay on the right side of the shelf as a mark of authenticity for your Pearl Mantel.

It’s provided in a paint grade only and arrives painted white, ready for installation. The assembly process is user-friendly, allowing you to attach the legs to the header and mount it onto the mitered hanger rail that comes included. To achieve a polished finish, the included three-piece scribe molding set will cover gaps effectively. The 1 1/2-inch projection behind the mantel enables straightforward installation over non-combustible materials like marble or slate, and securing the scribe around the opening will hide any imperfections.

While all necessary assembly hardware is provided, it does not include the mounting hardware for the hanger rail; therefore, it’s essential to select the appropriate hardware for your specific mounting surface—brick requires different hardware than drywall. Please note that MDF is classified as a combustible material, making it crucial to adhere to heat clearances. When installing above a fireplace, it is advisable to check local building codes and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove to ensure safe installation.
